Adding Hyperlinks to Cells in Excel - Image Tutorial

You can add hyperlinks to cells in Excel that link to other spreadsheets, documents, files, or websites.


How to Add Hyperlinks to a Website in Excel:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.(How do I open microsoft excel?)
  2. Type in text.



  3. Click the cell you would like to hyperlink.
  4. Click on "Insert" on the menu bar.



  5. Click on "Hyperlinks".



  6. Type in the web address (ie. www.tutorialcomputer.com) you would like go to when the text is clicked.
  7. Click Ok.



How to Add Hyperlinks to a File in Excel:
  1. Open Microsoft Excel.(How do I open microsoft excel?)
  2. Type in text.



  3. Click the cell you would like to hyperlink.
  4. Click on "Insert" on the menu bar.



  5. Click on "Hyperlinks".



  6. Click on "File".



  7. Find the file you would like go to when the text is clicked.
  8. Click Ok.



  9. Click Ok (again).



How to Add Hyperlinks to a Different Sheet Within Your Spreadsheet:
  1. Open Microsoft Excel.(How do I open microsoft excel?)
  2. Type in text.



  3. Click the cell you would like to hyperlink.
  4. Click on "Insert" on the menu bar.



  5. Click on "Hyperlinks".



  6. Click on "Place in This Document".
  7. Click on the sheet you would like to link to.
  8. Click Ok.
