Undo and Redo

Like most men, I make a lot of mistakes (sorry guys). If life was a computer, I would be in great shape because I know how to use undo and redo. It's time for you acquire this ability.

Reasons to use Undo or Redo:

  • You just changed text in a file and don't like the new text. UNDO
  • You change the formating of text and don't like the new formatting. UNDO
  • You click on something by accident in a file and you don't know what just happened and you don't like it. UNDO
  • You used undo but changed your mind. REDO
This will work in most programs but it only works within the program. You can't format your computer or change settings in windows then undo them the same way. Using Undo will undo the last change you made to in a program. You can often use it many times in a row to undo a series of changes (it depends on the program).

Alright, let's make some mistakes then fix them.

This will show you how to use undo in notepad but it can be used in most other programs also. It is usually under the edit menu.

  1. Open a new Microsoft Word document or Open notepad if you don't have Word.
    how do I open notepad?
  2. Type in a bunch of text.
  3. Left Click on Edit on the Menu Bar.
  4. Left Click on Undo.
  5. Left Click on Edit on the Menu Bar.
  6. Left Click on Redo.
I know. There were no fireworks and maybe I built it up a little too much but don't underestimate undo-redo.
