Printing

First, the options you have when printing strongly depend on the printer you have. That being said, there are still many options that are available in most printers. Let's look at those. Reasons to change printing options:

  • Previewing what your document will look like when it prints.
  • You only want to print part of a file, document or web pages.
  • You want to print the page sideways (landscape).
  • Printing multiple copies of a document.
  • Changing paper size...letter and legal and A4, oh my.
These are only a few of the printing options you have on a basic printer. These functions may change depending on program also. We will get into those special options in program specific tutorials.

Learning these options can save you a lot of paper, ink and time. Roll the presses!
