So you are ready to save yourself some time and effort. Very well.
Method
1: Creating a shortcut using right click: Image Tutorial
I usually use this method but the other one is just as easy.
- Find the program or file, you want to make a shortcut to.
- Right click on it.
- Go over "Send To".
- Click on Desktop Shortcut.
- Rename the shorcut if you wish. (You can do this by right clicking
on it and clicking rename.)
Method
2: Creating a shortcut by dragging and dropping: Image Tutorial
This method is great for when you want to put the shortcut in the
start menu or desktop.
- Find the program or file, you want to make a shortcut to.
- Right click and hold the mouse button. (normally
drag and drop is the left mouse button)
- Drag the file, folder or program to the desired location of the shortcut.
- Release the right mouse button.
- A small window should appear. Left click on Create Shorcuts Here.
- Rename the shorcut if you wish. (You can do this by right clicking
on it and clicking rename.)
Now you know how to create shortcuts. You can access any file or folder in seconds. How does it feel?
